Delivery
How long does it take to make the mould?
The production of the mould takes about 1 to 1.5 months. After receiving the mould, we can provide the first sample within three to four weeks (if no post processing is required).
Order Quantity
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No, but the minimum order quantity may depend on the number of parts you need. However, we can suggest an economically reasonable order quantity during the DFM discussion.
What is the maximum monthly production?
We are able to produce more than 1 million units per month.
Characteristics of MIM
What is μ-MIM®︎?
Metal injection moulding is a process for producing metal parts by mixing metal powder and binder: the mixture is injected into a mould and then sintered in a degreasing and sintering furnace.
The metal injection moulding or MIM process is suitable for the mass production of complex shaped metal parts. Micro metal injection moulding or μ-MIM® is a special MIM process for the mass production of small and intricately shaped metal parts.
Technology
Do you offer secondary processes such as machining and polishing?
It depends on your requirements, but we recommend a minimal finishing strategy. If you want a mirror or a surface with thread lines, we can add the finishing.
What degree of surface roughness can be achieved?
The Ra value depends on the type of metal material and particle size distribution, but ranges from 0.2 to 1.6 μm.
